Today I fitted my 2012 RCD510 from a Golf R with Premium 8 and latest high res screen. It came from the car after being swapped straight away for a retro fitted RNS510 to avoid the stupid options cost. Fitted after paying £31 to VW for an aerial adapter... But transforms look of the dash...

Well Pleased with it! Paid £200 delivered :)

Yeah it certainly has... needs some AG on it though as it looks slightly different colour, but it's just cos the dash has dressing on...

Works a treat... No DAB, but didn't it, didn't wanna add anything to the car, especially not glass mounted aerials... Though it has got the function for a reverse camera... HHmmmm lol

Well the brakes are on thanks to one of my mates who owns Tweeqd Automotive in Bordon and is an ex Mercedes Technician. He did a fantastic job and changed them over with no problems at all... Alex's kit was a simply bolt off - bolt on affair as he had advised me... Thanks Alex! So went from...

With wheel on photo to follow...

They are still bedding in, and haven't really used much yet, but the few time I have I suprised myself but how much more effective they are already! Well pleased, can't wait for them to bed it and try them out properly... They look the dogs danglies too...)

Update;

The brakes are bedding in nicely... don't believe I have full contact just yet of the new pads on the used disks, but getting there...

But, even now, they are flipping fantastic! Anyone that says they are happy with the standard gti brakes need to drive a set of bigger brakes, so much more confidence in them....  :notworthy:

Ok, revison G diverter valve fitted, and yes I would have to agree, feels alot stronger and responsive and seem to pull harder through the rev range than the D i had fitted, so happy I changed that.

Also going to fit the latest revision PCV, so I know that's up to spec. Booked in for a major service at JKM on the 8th September, so going to order some red coil packs for then to be fitted with the new spark plugs, so i know it's all uptogether...

Also have been offered some GAZ coilovers for a great price, with a discount due to being an previous customer(had their coilovers on two previous cars lol), so would be rude not to... These have shorter body length and stroke, adjustable rebound dampening, and can specify the spring rates and opt for helper springs too...

Along with these i'll probably order is it the TT-rs top mounts which are supposedly 30% stiffer...

Can't wait... 3 week build time as they are hand built.  :party:

The stiffer top mounts are the same part as the Cupra ones  :happy2:

I'll get a price from my usual part supplier so you have something to compare to  :smiley:
