The best tyres for traction (road legal)
tony_danza:
Ahh.
T1Rs are shockingly crap. Some Toyo stuff is getting hard to locate because of the quake in Japan, scummers here have put their prices up too.
Get searching ebay for track tyres, I've been stocking up on brand new ones in 17s and haven't paid more than £100 a boot yet. DZ03Gs, R888s, A048s...
berg:
will check again but am sure it was for R1R's it said 12% off...
berg:
was the R1R's but only 16's not 18's at that price :sad1:
tony_danza:
Sounds about right.
Have a look at Federal 595 RSR and Hankook RS2s, both excellent track tyres that can be used on the road in most weather, due to their tread patterns. Both about £120 a corner.
berg:
the 18's are £174.00 from camskill and Hankook are £122.56 for the Rs2
