Worth fitting K57i intake with stage 1 TSI?
Janner_Sy:
Just checking as lots of guys think they have the TSI engines but dont. The new face lift cupra is the same. The engine cover says TSI as does the brochure, but they still have the k04 TFSI

Just looked at the TSi airbox in that picture. Thats a sharp bend the air has to go round from the scoop onto the airbox. Why couldnt they just have a straight pipe in to the air box? Id prefer the TFSI air box design over the TSI as it isnt that bad a design, just more niggly to remove to change the air filter. Plus there are many cars on here that are high bhp with the standard air box fitted. Id just go with a panel air filter and keep the factory system fitted. You wont notice a great deal of difference in the performance with a K03 and not one that is going to be miles quicker than standard! I didnt when I had one fitted to mine and it actually felt like it had lost low end torque so I refitted the engine cover.

Er it's still not a Ko3.

on tsi i'd go evoms, itg, or forge twintake :happy2:

yeah, think Ill sell off the K&N, dont really fancy an open filter, the carbon speed one also seems good. same as the Carbonio.
