And remember I only managed a 4.4 with the ED 30 on nitrous and R888's at 440bhp!

that was stripped interior and launch control as well iirc

Dare i say it, the 440Hp might have managed a 30mph higher terminal though

But, this is why i love these cars.  How often can you use all that extra power.  These cars perform excellent where it really matters which is below 100mph.  big power cars perform above that, but thats not exactly usable power really.

Annoying thing with my car (1240kg) is, even if i loose 100Kg, im only down to the starting weight of the Polo GTI.  Plus i have the aerodynamics of a wall with my car.  Im fighting a loosing battle here.  think i need a 100Shot of nitrous,

or VTEC Yo

Have you got the Pace intercooler on yet? I bet that adds a few kg?

Picking it up on saturday.  Id imagine its a few kg heavier, especially as the radiator is also being made larger.  The benefits far outweigh the negatives though.

Sy reminded me that I need to set a few targets.  :happy2:

I'm looking for 0-60mph in under 5 seconds.
0-100mph in under 13.5 seconds and a sub 14 second 1/4 mile.

These times hopefully should be achievable with the mods I already have and would put the car on par with some modded ED30 times.

Also.....I think a sub 8 min 30 second B to G of the Nurburgring should be achievable too. :drinking:

i can never hook up a perfect lap there though, its so frustrating, there are corners there that i just couldnt get through as well as i wanted to, but because the tracks so bloody big you dont get to practice on them enough to perfect them.

Whilst bored I knocked up some comparison graphs and separated torque from power. These were all done on the same dyno. The overall area under the graph is the important thing and shows how the power/torque delivery changes as the tuning progresses.

POWER

TORQUE

The difference on power and torque delivery from stock to mapped is phenomenal, at some points the difference between mapped and stock is 70bhp on power and at other points up to 150lbft more on torque

What's with the weird top end on the ITG version ? Is the Revo software official yet ? There's nothing on the website so I suppoaed they are still testing it ?

The dyno operator let off the gas earlier as he said it hit peak power at 5.5k. for comparison I kept the graph at 6.5k as the stage 1 didn't make peak power till 6.4k. Otherwise I think the power line with the ITG would have tailed off gentler.

Another performance box update. Done with the first half on the flat and then a kink to a slightly uphill second half. Brave pill swallowed, dry start with damp patches. Had to brake just before the 1/4 mile mark, otherwise I would have run out of available surface.

0-100mph with another consistent 0-60mph

1/4 mile time - this was only just achieved and I was braking before the end of it. Remember this wasn't a bang straight run and the whole of the second half was uphill. If I had the room then I reckon probably a 102mph terminal would have been about right and if it had all been straight and flat, who knows?

So, I guess I need to adjust my targets a little!!

0-60mph - target still under 5 seconds
0-100mph - new target is 13 seconds
1/4 mile - new target is 13.6 seconds
