me too. Dont modify if you cant afford it. a remap isn't £200 its £200 + insurance + more fuel + more wear and tear.

if your injured during your crash how do you expect to remove the box? god forbid someone else is hurt and is also left with a massive bill.

What happens when you crash into someone, the car gets recovered as its a right off.  Next thing you know, is after you car gets recovered, your insurance company inspect the car, see ts modified, refuse to pay out on insurance

What does that mean, well the poor unsuspecting innocent person that you have hit, loses his no claims despite the fact he has done nothing wrong.

My insurance went up a whole £50 for a remap....

Rant over

i know what your saying, but when i had to pay £100 extra to declare tints that cost £150 it became abit of a piss take tbh.

im just thinking out load, it was more of an intention for track days if i was to try one in a dirty derv. ive declared all the mods ive done on my old astra and spent nearly as much declaring as modifying. i dnt see how some companies can justify that

thanks anyway guys
