Brake pad warning!! why!!

(1/3) > >>

Hurdy:
Puzzling one this.

I've been getting the front brake pad wear warning lighting up on the dash, but I've checked the pads and they are still virtually brand new. Had a service just over 2 weeks ago and they said the same. Fluid is spot on between the marks too.The brakes are as strong as always, but there's the warning light, lighting up my dash. Any other reason I cannot think of why it should be coming on?

Oh, and remember that they aren't standard

Help! :scared:

bennylenny88:
the cable couldve snapped off?

Caz:
if there not standard, when they wee changed was the brake sensor re fitted?
it may be a problem with the sensor...

NEWEY:
my guess would be the sensor Hurdy

chungster:
does your new pad have the OEM style wire in pad for the sensor??

If they don't (and most non OEM pad don't have this) then that would be why.

Think to get round this some tuners offer a dummy wire set up to fool the sensor so that you don't get a light on dashboard.
