Absolutly love how you have done this car and what you have done. Imo I wouldn't go any lower as I think cars look best when the wheel arch follows the edge of the tyre and none of the tyre sinks into the wheel arch and yours looks almost at that point now. But apart from that

The rear wont go up any more. That is on its highest setting as I have the new KW V3 "Ultralows". The only way is down from there unfortunately. hahaha

But there is no scrubbing so thats good

Looking at getting wheels and BBK upgrade as my next major purchases

which insert stickers did you get?



I want some that you stick on with the emblem detached so then when you put the VW bit back on you cant see the edge of the stickers (if that makes sense). Lots of the ones on ebay look like they just stick in the gaps without having to remove the VW bit.

Got my OSIR spoiler back from the panel shop. Greg at Baileys smash repair did a fantastic job. THe spoiler was initially CF and yes, it's a shame that the CF had to be painted but the CF didn't go with the look of the car IMO. Ideally I would have preferred the fibreglass option as I was already going to paint it. First world problems....

Anyway, it looks great. All I need to do now is to attach it

did a trial fit today. Looks 10x better than when it was CF














Also got Greg to paint my OSIR dual gauge holder, which was also in CF, in gloss black. It didn't make sense to leave that in CF (again, yes its a shame CF was painted over) because it didnt go with the rest of my gloss black interior bits





it will be matching the rest of the trim now






Greg also removed the Audi rings and the TFSI lettering on my TT-S engine cover. Again, fantastic job all round!

Here's what it looked like before. Initially, I had the whole thing painted black, rings and letter included






then I decided to DIY and get the rings and letters to stand out in white














now it's been filled with bog, smoothed and sanded back and repainted gloss black. Probably be looking at putting either the "R" logo, VWR logo or just keep it clean with nothing on it






Just some cosmetic enhancement updates for now...

Next major mods which I am looking at

- BBK's (most likely 6 pot brembos with slotted rotors, 355x32...depends if they clear my wheels though)
- Wheels (SSR Professor SP1 19" Black face, polished lip, bolts either in gold or coated in gloss candy white)
- Guards rolled and flared to accomodate
- DSG Tune (either GIAC or HGP/HPA)
- Haldex Gen 4 Controller
- CF rear valence (OSIR) and CF front lip (Garage Vary)
- Possibly changing to the Forge catch can instead...not 100% on this one yet (my current 42DD will be up for sale if it goes ahead)

Apart from that, quite happy with where the car is at the moment...maybe just some minor details here and there which needs to be tended to but overall I'm happy so far with its progress.

Haldex Gen 4 Controller would be top of my list - It will make a big difference to the handling (at least it did on the Mk5!).

My OSIR vented carbonfibre bonnet is painted....  On the outside only, I couldn't bear to cover it all up!

Yeah I can understand you not painting the underside. I would have done the same. Since its the bonnet, no one will look underneath unless you open the bonnet anyway. And even then I think it will be more of a "wow" factor since everyone would think you have a normal bonnet when in fact when they see the CF weave they'll be all like

So OSIR spoiler is now installed...just waiting on the sikaflex to set

Fitted this today in this god-awful heat

Just a word of warning to those wanting to buy this...fitment on the spoiler isnt the best from what I found

As this is a spoiler which is a stick-on type and not a full replacement, the ends of the spoiler tends to not be a perfect fit. From what I found, the ends of the OSIR spoiler "latches" on to your existing one but in doing so, the spoiler pushes up against the top section of your rear panel (where the spoiler meets the actual body of the car) and it tends to rub.

I lined up the spoiler with the OEM one and placed a wedge of masking tape between the spoiler and the body to prevent it from rubbing










some damage as a result of the rubbing. Lucky i have touch up paint to remedy this




lining up the sides of the OSIR spoiler to the OEM one to prevent it from rubbing also meant that the top bit of the spoiler wouldnt sit down nicely on top of the OEM spoiler and that it would be "afloat" almost? If I wanted it to sit down flat on top of the OEM spoiler, it would mean that the sides of the spoiler would rub, hence the masking tape treatment

We'll see how it turns out

I'll have my Jcap Oil + Coolant + dipstick engine bay bling up for sale as well as my 42DD catch can up for sale when I get these. Will need to order the Forge catch can first (will do it next year)

Does it not need to sit on the oem spoiler for proper fitment. I know its only a golf but there must be a fair bit of down force on the spoiler at high speeds.

I think he has fitted it over the OEM spoiler TC.

I had the same issue on my MKV ed30, but not quite as noticeable as Stephens.

As hurdy said, it fits over the OEM spoiler

Sikaflex has settled now and it looks pretty good!
