Michelin Pilot Super Sport is not overall a soft compound, only the outer part app. 15% is a soft compound. The rest is treadwear 300, so soft it aint ;)

Over the top mod list ;o)

I will have the smoothed grill by the end of January. I already have the Carbon bonnet without the notch in it to fit. You need to do it Stephen, it looks soooo smooth in that photo. 8)
Golf R gone.

I think attention to details is what makes or brakes a car and you are very careful with all the details. So job well done!  :congrats:

For the brakes you might consider some APRacing ones (very very good and cheaper than Brembo)
And for wheels I would consider the BBS range, especially the RS-GT ones which I think look great on a VW Golf (a bit expensive though)!

thanks for the kind words rex :)

I have also considered APRacings but here in Australia, the Brembos and APRacings arent too different in terms of price. I think they may be a $100 difference between the two?

I was actually thinking the BBS LM-R's but they are ridiculously expensive!~

Ah really? Nice! I'll keep that in mind for next time! Already ordered the Goodyear Assym 2's so when these wear off I'll try the michelins ;)

I'm in two minds though Hurdy....I like it, but then again it looks so bare, the front end....

I dont know. I'll see what happens after the new years :)

Fresh rubber after 50,000kms on the same tyres that came from factory.

New rubber is same brand/spec as the old ones, i.e Dunlop Sportmaxx GT's. 235/35/19. Never had a problem, and although I wanted to go Michelin Pilot SS's or Goodyear Assymetric 2's, these were in stock and theyre a pretty good tyre.
