mk5 gti mpg?

theres got to be somthing up!! my mpg is stuck on 21mpg on the computer
and I don't even thrash it! I don't think i've seen over 30mpg ever

I did a test and £25 pound V power gives me 90 miles.. does this sound right?!?!
most of my journey is stop and start for the most  but still?..

 I had the car scanned came back with EVAP Emission Control Sys: Incorrect Flow

which it could be anything below.. but i've heard people get everything replaced and still get this fault and the dealers usually says its nothing to worry about?? so your thoughts on this one!

Possible Causes
Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve (N80) faulty/jammed
Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Solenoid Valve (N115) faulty/jammed
Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Sealing faulty
Pipes between Tank Breathing and Throttle Body leaky/blocked

Possible Solutions
Check Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve (N80) Perform Output Test
 
Check Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Solenoid Valve (N115)
Check Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Perform Basic Setting

If there is a small 2 next to the 21 in the display then you're looking at the overall mpg and not the trip mpg.
If you have a mfsw, press the ok button and the mpg changes to trip mpg with a 1 next to the value.

it did have the little 2 next to it .. now it has the little 1 and now its 22mpg! lol

Lol!
It sounds like the car has been repeatidly brimmed with petrol in the past and it's affected the charcoal cannister and N80 valve.

Did you get a fault code number when the car was scanned?

IMO first thing to do is look carefully at the hoses that go to the charcoal cannister as you may find one may be split.
