PLACEHOLDER for 2013 onwards  :signLOL:

brand new Continental Sport Contact 5's

Intial impressions

much more 'bulge' as a profile when viewed off a rim, better rim protection
soft sidewalls mean you need to run them at high psi (Im running 37psi just now)
no bedding in period = good straight out of the box
seem to work in the wet straight away even when cold

I was very concerned jumping from PS3's to these, but so far the initial signs are very promising.
Although I suspect they aint gonna last 15,000 miles but well see.

more to follow...........

Comparison to PS2s?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

As per my PS3 review, I do tend to take it easy for a few hundred miles anyway to get rid of the releasing agent.
But for the SC5 they were spot on straight away  :happy2:
(traditionally goodyears Ive tried on other cars have required at least 500 miles to get to their best!)

Are these SC5s or SC 5Ps?

The FRS, Meganne RS250, Clio RS200 etc come with these as std.  They can't be bad if they made the grade
