VW are finally trying to book my car in to get the front wings done. But they are saying it will be in the workshop for 10 days and they won't supply me with a courtesy car! Has anyone had this? Or is it normally the case that they supply one?

i got mine done in derby vw (parks way) and it was in the paintshop for 5 days and they supplied me with a car free of charge but tbh it was a little 1.0l up lol hated driving it big difference to a gti

Anyone had any luck with the front wing rust on warranty at Doncaster VW?
Also I have 4 pot brakes fitted with 15mm spacers are they going to be 'funny about it'

they should be okay with it i had a dump valve (forge spacer) and a non standard exhaust and they still did it for me

They should be fine as the other guys have said. When I got mine done they asked if I needed a courtesy car which I did and it wasn't a problem at all although it's was a sh*tty hyundai i20

10 days is a bit much. I was quoted 2-3 days. Wasn't offered a courtesy car but friends did get offered one when they got their wings done.
Work it only being away 3 days I'm not to worried.

Keep me posted if you find a dealer that plays ball mate - I'm in your area and I'm trying to do my homework.

Well I got my car back 1.5 days after I dropped it off. Would recommend Agnews body shop.

I'd hope so, it's a 10 year warranty (in theory) and mine's an 07.

Still need to find a dealer with good rep for this around Sheff, Notts etc.... anyone??

Thanks AJP.  Do you know whether the car has to have full VW SH?

That seems like pot luck from what I've read. Some cars without full VW history just get put through no questions asked, others that tick all the boxes on paper get refused or only part payment offered etc.

It's a minefield.

When mine was done I was told it's covered on the bulletin so long as there's been no previous repair. Had no problems at all, had a car whilst they measured the paint depth and took photos which they sent to VW. Three weeks later, new wings and treated sills :). Highly rate the VW body shops, paint match was brilliant even without blending.

I've just asked another question on the forum regarding this as when I looked at some pages in this thread I couldn't find what I was looking for!!

Is it 10 or 12 year warranty on the paint?
Where is it on the sills should I be looking for and read there's something about a PDF that I can show the garage?

Thanks
