Update. I was under the impression that VW UK had agreed to replace both front wings through phillips lisburn VW. Only to be told that no they will only repair them due to the rush area being small. So while this was going on I took the car to a different dealer, who I had bought my previous cars from, they sent me to their  bodyshop who's inspection was a lot more thorough. Guess what? The car is now in having 2 NEW front wings fitted FOC...

Your right on the money mate!! How'd you guess?. 4 weeks it was in and the guy who helped me couldn't have been nicer. Told me to ring him every week for progress. He informed me that they don't repair ever because they've had cars back after a few months with the rust back.

Think it's too do with the fact that agnews get all the work whereas philips send it to Trevor Allen who's a great painter BTW.
Mine goes on to agnews after xmas.

When I got mine done they said they wouldn't blend via the warranty. If I wanted them to blend into the door bonnet and bumper I'd have to pay for that

I just got mine back from the Peter Cooper body shop this afternoon. Offside front wing was replaced under warranty and it looked awesome when I picked it up although it was raining heavily so I'll have to take a closer look when it's drier. Would definitely recommend them for anyone else on the south coast, it was all dealt with really quickly without any hassle.

Sorry mate i was wrong. I phoned to check about the blending and it wasn't done. It looks to my untrained eye to match perfectly so I assumed I was done. My bad

VW won't blend on the wings unless you foot the cost, around £130 a side.

VW are finally trying to book my car in to get the front wings done. But they are saying it will be in the workshop for 10 days and they won't supply me with a courtesy car! Has anyone had this? Or is it normally the case that they supply one?
