Got my second mk5 going in for wing replacement in a couple of weeks, hopefully the nearside will scab up pretty sharp so they do that at the same time as it's rusting on the lip.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

....It depends whether VW take the view that you have modified the wheel arches or not and also how your VW guy presents it for approval. They don't usually approve warranty if you have modified the arches but it's still worth a go.

....Apparently it's the Diseasals which are more prone to the wings rust issue due to foam strips being fitted to help absorb sound. But they also absorb moisture!

It's set in earlier on my 56 plate ED30 than it did with my 55 plate 2.0 TDI.
It's also an R32 issue as I saw a few people mention it whilst I was looking for a new car.

well i told main dealers about my  problem, sadly one of the wings had been repaired before hand( was a shock to me i never knew)
well..........waiting about 6  or 7 weeks i had given up all hope. then they ring me to book car in for the 1 front wing to be done.(woooooooooooooooooooooo)
so its at dealers now.
they gave me  a gorgeous courtesy car..... so im driving everywhere loving it.61 plate.done 8k miles

You've not got that from Benfield have you, Rhino?

EDIT: Had a similar one but with more decals. Proper sheep in wolfs clothing!
