The plums at Costco did it on mine when they change my tyres and damaged 2 of my wheels. the day before the Superchips RR day.
Shame they only inflated them to 20 PSI and I did the rest with a foot pump. Completely destroying any benefit.

I will let Costco touch my car again when hell freezes over. It cost them £150 for repairs though as my mate repairs wheels.

....

Nitrogen = Great in theory but a waste of time and effort in real-world road use.

Supposed to be better for optimum pressure regulation. i.e. pressure is supposed to be stabler at different tyre temperatures.

....Hence considered by some to be more useful on track.

As robin says favoured for track use - but the reason for that is often that it comes in a pressurised container (so no need for a compressor) more than any 'performace' gains.

Snake oil, and utterly useless for road cars!

Acutally, the reason nitrogen is mandated for racing is simply because of the flammable nature of oxygen in atmospheric gasses.  I suppose if a tyre were to pop next to sommat already on fire, the force of the air escaping at pressure might be seen as somehow feeding more oxygen to the fire.  Still a dubious argument if you ask me though!
