....Revo call their K03 DSG remap Stage 1 and their K04 DSG remap is called Stage 2, AFAIK.

E30Dom:
Stage 1 remap(I'd go Revo!), r32 front brakes, lower engine mounts, s3 console bushes/WALK/SALK, and suspension mods such as coilovers and arb's and you'd have one sorted car...

Don't go stage2/2+ unless you want to pay out on new clutch on a manual...

Im thinking of doing some minor mods in terms of performance but dont want to go over board.   What can i do?

Keep enjoying the stock car or do the complete program:

- remap
- downpipe + exhaust
- clutch if you don't have DSG
- LSD
- uprated engine mounts

Not to mention uprated brakes, tyres and suspension.

No, there is NO half way other than just a stage 1 remap from my (long term) experience on the forums.
If you want more than, say, 280 BHP and 380 Nm, you WILL need a new clutch + engine + mounts + DP . . .

The truth is it's not that easy it looks on the first view.

Hi,

Having been in exactly the same positions s you.. With a nice shiny ed30 ready to be ruined/made awesome..

Agree with getting everything checked out first, made sure its as good under the hood as you think it is before you start..

Then..
I did a revo stage 1 remap first, accompanied with a new forge DV.
Great mod, just opens the car up, not crazy quick, but pretty quick.. You still get sound changes from the exhaust note, Nd a great downshift blip from the dsg.

Then save up while you're enjoying the ride, cos in about 3 months you'll be wanting a full turbo back exhaust, intake, and an updated fuel pump and a stage 2+, then you'll have an itch about brakes...

Good luck with what you decide to do..
