The obvious caveat for any item sold for your car is that soon as you engage in any motorsport or trackday events this would negate the dealer from covering an item under warranty. All garages I have known will always fall back on this clause unfortunately for us.

....I can understand the justification on engine related issues but the Clubsports are very actively promoted and sold for use on trackdays! This needs clarification for those who now have KW Clubsports.
I can confirm they are covered under warranty but I will try and get Awesome or KW to verify this on this post. :wink:
Fortunately I don't do trackdays but only laps of Nordschliefe and that's technically just a toll road :wink:
@ NEWEY - Thanks - Good news re longevity of VeeDubs :notworthy:

A FWD car such as the Mk5 GTI particularly benefits from a diff when remapped and therefore delivering more power to the road. VW have now recognised this and include an electronic XDS diff on the Mk6 GTI.
--- End quote ---
The Mk6 does NOT have an electronic diff. Its' diff is an old skool conventional open diff, idential to the Mk5. The XDS on the Mk6 is actually just a tweak in the ABS/ESP software - think of XDS as a 'proactive' EDL (EDL is another part of ESP).
And not having a dig at the Red leader - just updating the thread incase someone searches for sommat like 'XDS', or 'can I fit the Mk6 diff into my Mk5?' :drinking:

....A genuine (not sarcastic!) Thank You for correcting me on this, Sean :drinking:. At the time of writing I believed that VW's 'XDS' was an electronic diff. I have only fairly recently learnt that the XDS is as you describe.
Either way, XDS certainly doesn't feel like my Quaife and it's a no-brainer which I prefer!

Sadly, the latest Audis, including the new RS5, are going down this excessive nannying from electronics - they are using proactive cross axle braking under acceleration! :stupid:

....Am I not right in thinking that reactive response is 'better' (or at least more satisfying to drive) than proactive electronics?
Nannying = Numb-ifying.
It's like the words of Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" but not like the breathtaking guitar of Dave Gilmour! [RR goes off to enjoy listening to it].
^ A stunning piece of music, imo. :notworthy:

[No apologies for the musical interlude]
