Goddammit!!!

I spent the last four hours (insomnia) reading this thread start to finish only to find jonnyc's sold the car!!! :fighting2: It's like boning the girl of your dreams but not getting a 'crisis'!

Anyway this thread has been an immense journey. Started off quick paced but steady until around page 70-something, after which it just went exponential! Would have been great to have seen some figures, some video and even see it in real life. A one-of-a-kind car.

What are you getting next and where's the build thread?
PS what was the insurance like on the car?

Haha.. Good job reading the whole thing! I have found myself looking back over it to remind myself what I have done time to time!!

I have a TT-RS now.. You can find the build here.. http://www.vagoc.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?t=3128

Insurance was fine, about £850 I think..

didnt have the best day - it was packed for starters ques all the way down the country road which leads to the pod and i arrived at 9am..

car pack was full and they started diverting people into the fields including me so tyres got caked in mud, eventually got round to the sign on office and after about a 1hr wait in the que for the strip got my first run against a nissan gtr dont know the time but i beat it  :jumpmove:

then jumped straight back in the que and after another 45 minute wait got to the front for the steward to tell me my tyres and arches had mud on and they wouldnt let me up so had to reverse out  :fighting:

there was another que for the jet wash so just gave up and went home but not until i had shouted abuse at the steward who directed me into the field in the first place  :fighting:

thats when I saw jonnyc's ex ed30 arriving  :happy2:

will check the times on the website when they publish them http://www.thefastshow.com/

Mate, how fooking annoying  :fighting: :fighting:. As much as I love Pod, the organisation there at times could be bettered by using chimps IMO. I try to stay clear of the shows for running now, as like you say the queues can become a joke.
My last run there was at the Fast show last year where I got my PB and I only managed 3 runs in 6 hours  :stupid:
I will still go to some of the shows, but if I want a days running to improve on times, I will just stick to RWYB..
How did you think your only run went mate, good or bad?

my only run wasnt the best   :sad1:  prob late 13s/early 14s

couldnt engage launch control at the start so bogged down a bit and changed from 1st to 2nd too early

dont no what the nissan gtr driver was doing he was even worse than me  :chicken:
