I did the wire swap on the climate control yep (cut pin 20 and put pin 16 into pin 20). Also did the pin swap for the iPod Dock (not sure which of the two you were asking about).

My car had the AC button as it is a later model. Pre 57 reg cars require a bit more work I think.
