Black Magic TSI - iPad Mini Mount
« on: February 23, 2014, 11:21:33 am »
Hi all!

I recently joined the forum after finally purchasing my golf!
It's a 1.4 TSI 170 model, and its only done 32,000 miles and one owner from new!

I did want a GTI but I couldn't get insurance at a reasonable price with only being 19.

So this was my old car, it was a mk4 seat ibiza 1.9 tdi.

Anyway, this is how she looked when I got her home after a 380 mile round trip!

I had some yellow film left over so I decided to put it on my fogs.

I know it looks green but the output in person is a very bright yellow!

It looks as if the exhaust was never cleaned! So I attempted to clean it but to no avail.  :sad1:

Here she is after her first proper clean!

I got the Mrs on the interior   :happy2:

And the interior..

So my plans are:

yellow fogs
yellow high beams
DRL Us spec
pressed plates
de badge
de wiper
polo 6r aerial
LED interior lights
projector headlights
edition/r32 rear lights
gti side skirts
highline clocks
rns 510
air ride
split rims/3sdm
mk6 flat bottom steering wheel
mk6 heater unit
edition/votex front splitter
r32 rear bumper

And that's all i can think of at the minute!

Thanks for reading!
Any c&c welcome!

Welcome. Nice motor and some great mods lined up. Only thing I would suggest is some oem xenons as this will transform the car. Expensive, but worth it  :happy2:

another tiny update, I debadged the rear.

I just need to give it a polish as you can still slightly see where it used to be.

So after looking for some r32/ed30 rear lights i stumbled across a DIY.
I can't remember who's thread it was unfortunately.

So this is how it started..

I then removed all the lights

Masked up the centers and gave them a quick clean.

Then put one layer of tint spray on and left to dry.

And back on the car!

I think it could have done with two layers but it definitely looks better!

Ahhh yes it was! Thanks for that!  :happy2:

I also saw on the mkv forum across the sea that someone had done it.

Like I said i think i'll have to remask them and add a few more layers

Cheers mate! :)

Over the weekend my new bulbs came which look like this!

This is after putting only the drivers side in.

And I de wipered the rear and gave the rears 2 more coats to try and get closer to the R32/ED30 look.
