Do you have a link to the filters? Retail price? What diameter are the piping ends?

If you're going to stage 1 you simply don't need a CAI for the map/hardware to work properly (you may even lose low end torque which is a big plus with stage 1) particularly if you're more interested in performance without noise as you say. Stage 2/2+ starts to make use of the intake but some stay with OE intake though even at this tuning level.
Keep the spare cash in case your tuner finds something that needs fixing highlighted by mapping. In some cases even a stage 1 car can benefit from a fuel pump upgrade. Some pumps are fine, others seem to struggle. OE manufacturing tolerances probably quite wide. Also paves the way for more tuning.
