Heated seats

<< < (5/6) > >>

apollo13:
No!!!!!!!!

Not the plugs for the seats! There the right length to go to each seat, just swap them around at the climate control panel. Im only speaking from the diagram i used, yours may be different so youll need to check!  :happy2:

Im sure you can run it up the centre console but i ran mine up the drivers side sill (sp) trim fed the loom under the carpet to each seat. Then connected the earth to the point by the bonnet release and up pass the fuse box and cecm under the steering column and on to the climate panel.

Its easy just take your time.

mortygttdi:
Just a quick tip, put the wiring in before you put the seats back into the car when you change them over, that way you have access to the whole of the carpet area. If you put the seats in you will be trying to work around them?

Darren

apollo13:
Hi Darren,

Good tip, thats how i did mine but still a bit akward getting the loom under the carpet!

I found the loom was a little short when connecting up at the fuse box. Dont know if there all like that or just mine??
Iv heard some of the other kufatec looms are a little short.

mortygttdi:
yeh the auto leveling is a joke, the wiring for the control module only reaches to the middle of the dash once connected to the fuse box and can bus, but the xenon control module should sit at the side of the glove box under the access panel.

I've had to extend a few now due to this, but I think kufatec actually do a service where you can specify what you need and how long with what connectors,

Darren

apollo13:
Surely if they are supplying looms they should be the right length  :stupid:

I had to unwrap some of it to get it to fit but even then it was tight!

Hey Darren do you know anyone thats got the spare buttons going on the mk6 wheel yet??

Lee.

by the way i repaired that highline
