About to buy an ed30!
« on: June 26, 2014, 12:53:36 pm »
Hi guys, about to buy an ed30 on monday, it's down at carnexions in berks and just wondering if it's anyones old one off here or if anyone knows anything about it!

He said it has the plaque, number 1314. It's tornado red

Coming from a clio 200 cup so the power difference should be noticeable I think ha!

Cheers!

Ian

Here is a place where people register their plaques, but it appears your out of luck it as there is 1313 and 1315.

If it's a dsg you're looking at make sure once the gearbox is warmed up it isn't jerky when pulling away or reversing.
I bought one last Friday and discovered the problem stuck in traffic, f*cking nightmare. Taking it back down next week.

Also another problem with mine is the xenons aren't levelling.

Yeah it is a DSG mate so will make sure of that cheers! It had a DSG service at 42k and it's only done 50k so hopefully should be okay? It doesn't have xenons but will probably end up with HID's anyway.

Other than those issues what do you think to it?

Mines the same service wise I'm absolutely sick, the garage is an hour and a half away aswell.

I've only drove it for 2 days as I got temp insurance while I wait for my previous to end in a couple of weeks for the extra NCB. I still absolutely love it, haven't had a propa go of it tbh, only put my foot down a couple of times but it was still love at first drive lol

Haven't had a go of the launch control yet either!

I'm practically round the corner from where this car is - but don't know it I'm afraid. Looks ok, but missing the hugely expensive mats (if you're bothered by that)

Happy to help out if needed!

Wouldn't bother me, I'm literally just about to have a look on eBay for new mats.
I think mime still have the original but they're in poor condition after 7 years!

Picked up my ed30 today after a 8 hour round trip, absolutely epic! Makes the clio look laughable! Chuffed to bits with it, DSG is unreal!
