Air Con Question
« on: September 05, 2014, 04:18:12 pm »
Hi
In the handbook it says to keep the climate control on at all times. Is this necessary. Sorry if this has been covered before.

Cheers

I generally leave it on, but it's not a necessity if you'd rather not have it on. It is a good idea to use it regularly though at least for short periods just to keep things lubricated and prevent any problems.

If climate control is completely turned off there is no airflow into the car

AC can be turned off separately by pressing the ECON button

Its a rubbish system though, I don't understand how they managed to make a climate control setup perform so badly. Its actually worse than the simpler manual Climatic system in lesser Golfs IMO.
