@TAPPY if it was more than a week ago I may well have been out or at lunch etc...

The Mazda is owned by the business and is classed as a pool car so all of us on the insurance policy use it as a spare car. And since we've killed 2 cars recently its getting quite a bit of use
Yeah it was more than a week ago I was chatting to Bradley from concourse detailing for ages but even if you was there I'm not sure what you look like so wouldn't have known  :signLOL:

Hahaha, yeah I think I might have caught him when I came back after lunch if it was the same time I'm thinking of but he's in all the time so hard to remember.

Well there's only 4 of us there and I'm the only fat one so if you see a grumpy fat person in an elitecarcare shirt its always going to be me  :signLOL:, come say hi next time  :happy2:

The only 2 people that was in the warehouse was a female and a tall skinny lad, and there was the Mazda, blue r32 and Bradley's m3 outside.

Iirc it was the beginning of the month.

I will defo say hi if I see you there tho mate.

So everything is coming together very nicley for me, which makes me wonder what's going to go wrong  :rolleye:.

Merc wheels are sold  :sad1: , really sad to see them go but onto the next phase

Anti surge wheel arrived  :jumpmove:

R-Tech booked in for the 6th August, will take a week and should have switchable maps which is what I've always wanted. So if all goes well on the 13th August I will be terrorising every nice car on the motorway  :jumping:

There are a few bits I'm tempted to do as well, considering a 3" BCS full system straight through as with the RFD and extra boost will hopefully make some serious noises and some fire.

Also would like some Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2's as the sidewall on that tyre is pornography and I'm going to need some pretty serious rubber to keep this beast nailed down at full steam.

Yeah I've made him a cheeky/ assholey offer  :fighting2:

Not in a rush so its there if he has to get rid, otherwise I'm lucky enough to get them cheap anyways.

Nice progress. I'm tempted to do the anti surge wheel upgrade to my K04. Did you take yours apart and send just the cartridge off to BBT? Did you ask about the 410bhp hybrid k04 upgrade they offer?

Cheers mate, no I haven't touched my turbo he just sent me a new core so it will be a straight swap when Alex does all the work.

I spoke to him about a few options but decided this was best for me as I'm staying FWD and no diff (for now) and wanted to keep engine reliability as a priority so no need to number chase really. Also those upgrades will give increased lag and I think on the road from what I've seen the difference between the two wouldn't actually be that much, more pub talk than anything but I could be wrong

Re: Dans grey MK5 GTI - soon to be BWJ powered - engine at AKS

So after a quick inspection from Ruby the engine was loaded safely and cleared for its journey

She made it to the promise land, Alex said it looked in half decent condition so hopefully it's the same on the inside  :popcornsoda:

Also talked about a few other bits like PCV delete/ polar FIS/ braided clutch pipe and something else I've forgotten and will hopefully get that done as long as everything else goes smoothly.

Car will be dropped off within the next couple of weeks so its all moving along nicely now and I can't wait  :pomppomp:

Some AKS ingredients via Alex are always good fun

Look forward to seeing the results of this next phase.

If the AMG's were genuine, we'd have been talking about a deal dude   One of my favourite wheel designs - simple, tidy but so presence filled!

So, forged pistons at 9.2:1 compression, rods, ARP hardware, better valves and springs and a GTX3076R turbo being fitted soon then? :happy2:

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

Cheers mate, yes I'm very excited for this next phase too, just a shame it had to happen so soon. Hopefully will be done for a while this time.

Yeah I'd of loved them to be genuine but at the price they go for it wasnt worth it for me.

You forgot the Meth, MK7 R rear subframe, gen 4 haldex controller, Recaro Pole positions, carbon wide wings, carbon boot, carbon bonnet, Forge rear brakes, roll cage and a new air freshener  :rolleye:

Yeah didn't take very long did it  :sad1:, to be fair to it the cam chain is the main issue as other than that as long as I stayed below 6200rpm it would probably go on for ages. But i'm in this car for the long haul and need something I can trust for all the trips I want to do.
