Rear caliper piston sticking
« on: November 09, 2014, 04:27:33 pm »
Hello,

Had an issue with my rear caliper kind of sticking, I could kind of move the wheel by hand but it didn't rotate freely, had a look at the handbrake cable that was only replaced last year and is fully retracting so that's not the issue.

Then I reset the piston, wheel spun fine then, then I went a for drive to test the brakes then jacked it up again and it was back to where it was sticky, difficult to rotate by hand, so I guess the piston isn't really retracting itself.

Any ideas? Cheers

Same side? Checked the seal and it was all good and clean, pity don't see how much could go wrong with such simple engineering.
