It so needed the 5 cylinder Audi engine from the RS3. Imagine that noise (real noise) in a Golf  :laugh:

Standard mk7 R prices may suffer for it though!
Nah stick with the 2.0 leave the 2.5 in the nose heavy thirsty RS3

3.9 seconds really is super car territory  :laugh:

In hindsight I agree with that statement regarding the engine. But I hope they give it some real noise not this synthesized BS.

Definitely this; I find it quite unlikely VW would simply max out the 7R, especially if they are doing an extended run of the R420... there's going to be some "headroom" in software terms... at the very least 450... ...500 if they map as well as the 7R does...

Are the R420 and 7R using the same turbo though, that would give us a clue before hand?
