Ahhh sorry didn't realise that's what it was called, haldex means 4WD to me, yeah a mechanical one would be much better.

Isn't the fancy Leon a lot faster around a track than an R with only 2WD and that Haldex diff?

Now imagine what they could do with the GTI if they really tried....

The Leon 280 is marginally faster around a tight track than the R (Autoexpress have a video on Youtube)
