Best oil

Hi all ,   So im thinking of doing an oil change as ive not long had the GTI ED30   2008 dsg   What would be the best grade and oil to put in , any particular oil filter , also plugs , i hear ngk iridium are good and Millers 5w40 nanodrive...    any comments please

Castrol edge 5w30 that meets the VW approval is perfectly acceptable for a standard GTI; those who run tuned cars or do trackdays etc, may wish to use something like millers nanodrive or another specialist oil.
