EGR valve/ Glo-plugs
Andy:
You can leave the cooler in place and map the egr out as mine was like that for a while
Bazman:
Hi Matto, I had it looked over by the local indy vw specialist and he recon's it's the EGR, and glow plugs.
Given car is symptom free, mapping out seems to be the best option.
Just want to check that by doing this I won't harm my engine and give myself a bigger bill later. Given it's non-critical I assume it should be OK but just want to double check.

Hi guys, I'm new to the UK (London) and I have just purchased a MK5 Golf 2.0 TDI a few days ago and just this morning the engine light came on with the same 'Emissions Workshop' warning. I've been reading that I should get it read with a Vagcom to get the fault code but I don't know any local garages in SW who can do it, so can anyone recommend any good places? And from what I've been reading mapping it out like Bazman is thinking, maybe the best option? Cheers in advance
