The RS3 has 362bhp from the factory, but that engine can be taken easily to 600bhp with a stage 3 kit bolted on. When you think that a new RS3 is £40K, plus £10K for the kit and you have £200K levels of power, that's an amazing deal.

I hope to god the R400 has the 5 cylinder engine...

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

WTF

So it'll be the Golf R's EA888, a 4 cylinder, but will sound (according to that) like the 2.5 I5 TFSI FÜNFZYLINDER?

Is this the next level of sound actuators, impersonating the number of cylinders by sound?  :surprised: :scared:

I don't want to get excited about it having an 2.5 TFSI when I know it wont...  :sad1:

I've seen the video on youtube of one getting loaded into a car transporter, and it sounded like an R only with a louder exahust.. definitely not a I5!

Totally, and, VW will probably never put it into one of their own cars, buuuut there's noway the video in this thread was demonstrating the Golf R block from the sound it outs out

Must be some sort of synthesizing or auspuff actuator going on  :popcornsoda:
