actually not!

My renewal is just around the corner. I'#039m 29 turn 30 in Feb with a moderate list of basic mods, nothing too drastic to the power output, and have been with A-plan the last few years who put me with Marker Study. 6 years no claim this time, last year = £640, Renewal = £585 but shopped around and hadn'#039t tried Brentacre before and they quoted me £475! so i know who im going with thi

Folks,

Whilst browsing OBD-eleven to check intake temps recently I realised an engine code had been flagged. To my horror it'#039s a P0299/underboost code which I'#039m reliably informed is almost always a failing wastegate. What'#039s strange is that the car still pulls well, seems to be making full power and I'#039ve never caught the actual boost not meeting requested during loggi

RCD330 - pre-programmed CANBUS

Hi all,

New owner of a MK5 Golf GTI. Picked it up Sunday. I parted way with an Audi RS4 B8, as I'#039m saving to buy my house. GTI seemed like a great run around, really enjoying it. :happy2:

I'#039m looking to upgrade to the RCD330 head unit. My car is a 56 plate, I believe I need a canbus change to avoid battery drain. I know [url=https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/foru

I'd find a company that can refurb yours, shouldn't break the bank and will come back all nice and shiny.

I’ve never checked the gap on my plugs. Maybe I will the next time I change them.

Due to its lack of use I'd get the battery checked out first.

One down one to go. nbsp Can'#039t get other headlight out as I previously broke the connector.

New lights don'#039t come with the bulb holder for one of the bulbs, so had to use the old one.

No Traction control
Last Poster: paul71 in How to Guides / Troubleshooting on July 31, 2021, 06:24:05 pm
Hi I have a 2008 Pirelli. The esp and tpms buttons do nothing when pressed. The traction control I think is not kicking in so appears not to be working . No dash lights at all. wondered if anyone had any thoughts on what the issue is? Any pointers would be much appreciated thanks

Thanks both, appreciate it.

May be a stupid question but should there be a ED30 specific induction kit as most I see have a pipe down to the front of the engine where as the normal GTI Just go over the back of the engine to the side?

To me third owner suggests it was well cared for by at least one of the previous owners - your just unfortunate to catch the wear from age and mileage.

It could be the engine. nbsp DSG faults are often misdiagnosed due to engine issues. nbsp Although the gearbox has it'#039s own brain, it does also communicate with the engine'#039s brain. Remember the DSG is just an automated manual gearbox at the end of the day, so in the same way an unhappy engine can cause

I stuck a pair of lemforder links on it just to try and it seemed to be ok but yesterday on a different route to the one I normally take it was still evident, especially at low speeds on a bumpy surface.
I’m going to have to get it up on a ramp to have a nosey, maybe the Arb is contacting something.
All the other bushes, track rods etc have been replaced.

I mean.... I can'#039t 100% confirm the numbers accuracy mostly because according to the mk4 has the same rigidity as the normal mk5.

Hahah I'#039m not interested in crashing just wanted to know based on the raw numbers of chassis rigidity if it'#039s the reason the mk5 has a better crash rating than the Leon and does it mean the Leon doesn'#039t share the same strengthening as the
