Mk5 General Area / Re: Low oil pressure caused by PCV?
« Last post by OllieVRS on Today at 10:25:57 am »It's possible but very unlikely to be the pcv. In your case I'd get an oil pressure tester hooked up, and see what your numbers are like with the engine warmed up. It's the best way to see if something is wrong as you can drop the sump and find nothing obvious.
I wrote a guide a while ago on fixing a specific oil pressure issue I had from the oil jets/squirters. In it you can find the correct oil pressure numbers.
And if your oil pressure levels are slightly low over a long period the first symptom of damage will be metal flakes in the oil form your connecting rod bearings... So best to get it fixed ASAP if you haven't already!
