Pro springs with the B4s should work nicely. You wouldn't like B8s on busted up urban roads anyway as they very harsh, but the trade off is better body control than the B4s on windy rural roads.

The SuperPro anti-lift I used on mine didn't introduce an NVH.

The street density mounts should be good but solid dogbones will definitely dump some NVH into the cabin!

Thanks mate. Just wanted that confirmation  :happy2:

Blimey, 1 or 2 cans is more than enough to do all the doors and main cavities

Just blast the rest on all the control arms, rear subframe, exposed floor panels etc etc.

Seems like a good result there  :happy2:

I wouldn't worry about the solenoid duty cycles. So long as the target angles are met, all is good in the world  :drinking:

Researching the hell out of this LOL

It seems that the duty cycles control the oil flow in the solenoid.

less than 50% retards timing
more than 50% advances
50% locks the timing without adjustment

I believe I am all good then, unless someone corrects me  :happy2:

I have cleaned the solenoid inside and out using a 9v battery to activate it, but it was very clean and about 6 years old.

Also took out the cam sensor, and that was clean too.

I have read that the duty cycle of a cam adjuster solenoid between 45 and 70 is a middle/off stage....so maybe everything is good and it does not need to adjust anything. I dont know LOL

I did my chain, tensioner and adjuster yesterday mainly due to a worn adjuster which was grooved out by the rings. I took before and after screenshot of groups 91 and 93

Before

After

But noticed that my duty cycle of the N205 solinoid block 2 of group 91 never settles in the low figures like i have seen on later TFSI's (mine is an early AXX) at hot idle testing before or after they are about the same...fluctuated upto mid 50's before the chain was done.

I have no error codes and it drives fine.

I have unplugged the cam adjuster solinoid during this testing and block 4 of group 91 goes up to 27.5KW/28KW and block 3 of group 93 for phase position remains a zero.

Am I a tooth out on the belt or something.....or worrying about nothing.

Honestly at that point just replace it. I've got mine, I think INA, for 20 bucks. It's been a long time so dont quote me on the log numbers just yet xd

The VVT solenoid valve may be stuck or dirty, as all the info i see on them at idle is upto 7ish %.

I will have to take it out and give it a clean

They are 28 on the later TFSI's, but the AXX variant is 24

I am curious about the 2nd data box on group 91 being 56.1%

I suspect it is because there is some load from the aircon. I might check it with it off tomorrow

Aight that's great, I was getting worried. I'll go for some midnight snacks in a bit and take a VVT pic for you. I've replaced my VVT control module/valve thingy. I dont remember exactly but I think it was between 37% and 57%
