The funds from the last donation effort ran out in July. The hosting cost are €22 a month.

Ive created a goFundMe as the paypal pools only last one month.

Pro springs with the B4s should work nicely. You wouldn'#039t like B8s on busted up urban roads anyway as they very harsh, but the trade off is better body control than the B4s on windy rural roads.

The SuperPro anti-lift I used on mine didn'#039t introduce an NVH.

The street density mounts should be good but solid dogbones will definitely dump some NVH into the cab

Blimey, 1 or 2 cans is more than enough to do all the doors and main cavities

Just blast the rest on all the control arms, rear subframe, exposed floor panels etc etc.

Honestly at that point just replace it. I've got mine, I think INA, for 20 bucks. It's been a long time so dont quote me on the log numbers just yet xd

Last Poster: BarryArrow in Mk5 General Area on Yesterday at 04:35:36 pm
I had the chance to drive both a stock and modded Mk7 Golf R, and yeah, it’s a noticeable upgrade from the Mk5. Even stock, the Mk7 feels more refined and quicker off the line. Once tuned, it’s a whole different beast—handles better, more responsive, and the power delivery is smoother.

Re: MK5 Gti Genuine Floor Mats Help?????
Last Poster: Octoparrot in Mk5 General Area on Yesterday at 09:56:04 am
They'#039re Genuine VW, I don'#039t know if cars came with them of the showroom floor, I expect not as German car manufacturers don'#039t give much for free. Also there are 2 types of mat fixings oval or round so get the correct type for your car.

A word of warning though, I'#039ve had 2 sets of these mats and while they'#039re great quality I found I wore a hole in the drivers mat whe

What about a gofundme? Ive never used this.

Unfortunately brake pressure sensor fault requires an ABS pump replacement.

You may be able to get the unit repaired at an ECU testing company.

Last Poster: dennis10 in Mk5 General Area on October 23, 2024, 10:41:35 am
Just get the Passat B6 ones as they'#039ll be cheaper. Get the Passat alloy knuckles as well. Slightly different tie rod angle so the steering response sharpens up a bit too, not to mention an unsprung weight reduction.

I ended up buying the wishbones and s3 bushes/consoles in

Re: What did you and your MKV do today?
Last Poster: ZoliWorks in Mk5 General Area on October 22, 2024, 09:39:42 pm
Following up on the previous post, put the car back together. Ended up not painting the bumper. I'#039d rather do it when it'#039s hot outside. Melted some plastic to fill the cracks and glue the ruptured parts together.
Replaced the bent fender support. Fortunately the headlight was untouched.
While at it, also replaced both bumper supports cause the old ones were cheap knocko

I am guessing about 2007 they made the change, but depends I suppose on the build date of the engine as seen 2007 S3's and even a 2012 Mk6 R with grooved adjusters.  VWG make a lot of engines so some may have sat before being put in a car and missed the update.

VW can be hit and miss sometimes.

Having done this to mine today, I thought I would add some additional notes and tips.

Parts list and torque specs at the bottom.

The car in Dazza'#039s guide has the older 1 piece timing cover. nbsp Cars with 2 piece covers have a slightly different procedure, otherwise the guide is

Thank you!
Yup, I also love the color - could have been better if it was green, but I really can'#039t complain... The interior and exterior color were a big factor in choosing the car. As a funny thing, when I bought the Golf (almost 17 years ago), I couldn'#039t conceive of having a bright color interior. I couldn'#039t stand it... Now black seems so dull and I have bright interiors

Edition 30 Rear Valance -Pearl Black (Genuine Part)
£80.00
Location: Manchester
Collection Only

For Sale is my old Pearl Black Edition 30 rear valance. This clips into the upper section of your rear bumper.
This was removed from my golf due someone backing into me at low speed causing surface cracks. (they offered to pay for a new valance)

The surface cracks are around the the number plate area which I've tried to photo the best i can.

The exhaust surround has been bonded back on by the body shop after an encounter with a high kerb a few years ago.

There are storage scratches on the paintwork so will need respraying. You will also need a towing eye cover.

All clips to clip the valance upper bumper section are intact and there is no sign of warping.

This is a genuine valance and was fitted to my ED30 from the factory.
