Reduces drivetrain 'slap' when coming off and going back on the throttle.

Ah right ok...How does this benefit once fitted? You will have to excuse my lack of knowledge but its the first time I've ever come across these.

Ill be in a better position to make judgment once ive fitted it

All the power and torque that is normally lost through the engine movement is reduced significantly.

Booked in at DMR for a bit of TLC, so it should look half decent over summer  :signLOL:

I realised last night that my not had expired. Oops

Took it in today and it past with no advisories.

Now, off for a test drive in a BMW 123d M sport auto.

Ohhhhhhhhh  :surprised:

I'm not surprised Rich, but very cool. I saw a 123d vid you'd hooked up on FB the other day.
Would this be in addition to the ED30 or a replacement?

I've looked at the 120d and 123d quite seriously but I'm still unsure about owning a BM. The official dealer here is pretty poor and sat nav retrofits look impossible, plus I'm not sure any of the diagnostic systems come close to VCDS from what I've found on the net.

Try finding one with Angel eyes/Xenons and the more expensive Nav too, seems to be a unicorn chase  :chicken:

It's really little things like that getting in the way with going all out for a purchase which has pushed me towards an A3 black edition with the 170ps unit. I know exactly where I'll be with a posh Golf and some of the kit on the GTI will fit it. I think they're gorgeous looking cars too, perhaps unlike the 1? A 1 coupe will be much more of a drivers car though which is what attracted me, not forgetting the fantastically well balanced stats it has.

You'll have to let me know how the one you've scoped out drives - I was intending to do a similar thing this week with hol from work  :happy2:

Drove a 123d M sport auto this afternoon pete. I like the car itself, but it felt so dead performance wise at the side of my gti.

Its not the one, so ill have to keep looking. Im going to take a drive in a 330D too, see if that is any more ballsy.  :happy2:

I must have already enjoyed that video 4 times and I'm about to enjoy watching it again.

Vented rear discs? You'll find that when coupled with bigger brakes on the front, your car will feel very well planted and balanced under heavy braking. Of course all will depend on road surface and tyres. Enjoy!  :happy2:
