Thanks for the help guys. I have some time off next week so will be going trough all the checks to see what i can find. I will order new dipstick O-ring and oilcap, they seem to be in good condition but just going to try for the price. I will Order an N80 and Clutch switch, but not going to install them until i inspect everything thoroughly.
I checked my fuel trim values(see screenshot). MB 32 value 1 is 3.8% and value 2 is 7.0%, with aftermarket intake it seems to be normal to be anywhere between -10% and +10%? Are my values indicative of anthing?
Im trying to make a list of what specificaly to check so i can mark them off and hope not to mis anyhting. Do you know of any existing "mkv gti vacuum checks", let me know. If i need to add things let me know too.
Am i correct in saying i dont need to check anything between Turbo and intake manifold? (see screenshot) At see level(subtract 1000mbar), actual boost is peaking at 2270mbar and then steadily dropping, always staying a smidge above requested boost. This would make it highly unlikely that there is a leak between turbo and intake manifold, or am i incorrect?(coupled with the fact that garage did a smoke test, basicaly testing up to the intake manifold?)
I will start with maintenance. Oil, oil filter, spark plugs, clean airfilter(oiled filter), clean MAF.
The cam adjuster and flap adjuster motor seems like something i can check after the other things.
Intake manifold has been off recently to do the carbon cleaning, no changes after and issue has been here for years so also ruiling that out for now.
I will have a close look at camshaft cover for cracks and visible signs of leaks around the gasket etc.
Check hose/intake/couplings etc. between MAF and turbo.
Ordered a new PCV just to be safe. (06F 129 101 R)
Ordered DV(06F 145 710 G)
Ordered new O-ring for dipstick. Im checking the "dipstick tube" itself for cracks etc, do i need to worry about how its connected to the block? There is an oring there aparantly but also an inner metal tube? Good idea to replace completely?
Then all the various lines around intake/pcv/brakebooster etc. I know about the "ones at the top", around intake, pcv, N80 etc. Are there more lines i need to worry about at the back/rear/lower parts of the engine?
Do i need to check the vacuum pump for something?
Anything else im forgetting?
Thanks guys!
