The car feels solid and planted. It handles well, but is still a little vague compared to a full suspension set-up. The power delivery off the line is great, no fuss, no tyre squeal, just an urgent shove in the back to 60mph. Above 80mph it slows up, but a remap will give it extra oomph. Quality is better than the MKV by a decent margin, with nice touches in finish. The satnav is set up as annoying as the prior owner must have set it to avoid all motorways. The dynaudio system is excellent although it could do with a little more bass depth.

So far the verdict is "built by Germans, soon to be improved by a mad Englishman!".  :grin:
