r32 rear bumper and unknown front grill
« on: October 12, 2012, 10:26:24 am »
Hi guys, been a member for a while but only recently have got the money and motivation to complete a few mods.
I have candy white ed30 DSG and am wanting to go for a black and white theme. Below is an image of the exact rear bumper setup that i am after, but only bumper i can find have the reflectors either side.

Obviously i would need to get an r32 exhaust. I would like a nice sounding setup but nothing majorly loud, so would a r32 backbox fit onto my ed30?

After some research i found this on ebay, has anybody had this setup before? Only trouble is that it has the reflectors.

Additionaly has any body seen/heard of this front grill as i think it is amazing:

Thanks in advance to anybody who can help me out

Can't see the images mate !

Only thing I would look into is the exhaust, as at that price I can't imagine it being better then OEM, may even be restrictive.

I would get a custom exhaust made up !

I got a slightly larger than r32 size custom exhaust for £280, and the rear bumper you can just colour code the reflectors which is what I have done?
Sig to big.

Thats not a genuine R32 bumper is it? A lot of the copy bumpers dont give a good fit.

Also the R32 back box wont fit the GTI. You will need to get a R32 style exhaust back box from one of the main manufacturers (Miltek/BCS) or have a custom one made.

Pics have been updated, and thanks for your reply.

So you guys think i should buy a genuine r32 bumper, get the reflectors smoothed out and get a miltek backbox made up?

As mentioned the R32 Zorst will not fit on the ED30 rear section and the lower (inner) valance cannot be removed, tis all one piece unlike the R32 one which has a separate  lower valance/splitter. All the R32 rear ends have reflectors, you can have them filled, painted etc but IMO they look good on a Candy. The rear in that photo is aftermarket I imagine. Keep an eye out on the forums as they pop up every now and again.

You need to get an OEM lower section from an R32 painting in Candy, an aftermarket R32 Cat Back or TBE system, pretty sure all the usual companies do an R32 option for the GTI/Edition30.

Contact the TTShop.com regarding OSIR as they are the UK distributors for their products.

How loud would an aftermarket r32 catback system be?

Depends on which one you go for. There will be loud ones and ones that sound standard.

Not sure, I think Milltek still do a Cat back R32 style system for an Eddy. Resonated for quieter and more OEM or Non Resonated for louder. Also have a look at BCS and the other usual suspects.

The section your after is this bit......

If you can get the whole back section (which includes the 3 main parts) that even better and an easy "one off/one on" IMO.
