Have you looked at Audi s4 b8 or b8.5 as an option for your next car? They can make 500bhp ish with stage 2+

I cannot (alas) get a B8 or B8.5 S4 as those are my brothers last car and current car. I will get a car for half that price and see if I can keep up although his current S4 Black Edition only mods are a Miltek TBE and stage 1 map and that's properly bonkers quick, not sure of bhp.

 :happy2:

So who is quicker, your bro's s4 or the mistress?

His 2 tonne Avant S4 is a lot quicker, we've only ever stretched our legs against each other on 1 occasion, flat out I was close but not THAT close. His car is so smooth, so planted and can carry a sofa, the dog and the kids!! It's a proper "grown ups" toy.

(I'll never tell him any of that )

Hey Martin, any luck in searching for the new mistress?

It's about right when compared to the others on Aurotrader/Pistonheads/eBay. There are a few around for £22k+ still.

All from a dealer so with dealer tax on top...

Thanks Rich for taking the time to post the links. The 7R's really are starting to flood the market and those prices show it, ive seen less Mk7 GTI's than R's on the roads, so many of them and no doubt a shed load more soon. I'll def take another look at the Mk7 if im still looking in 6 months.

 :happy2:

None of them is red. I think MC only wants a red Golf R. :sad1:

Not just me, even Mrs MC has said it has to be red and no other colour, we looked at a blue one over the weekend and she said......"errrr I don't think so!"

I can't help but think that with the step up in spec, tech & platform that you'd be better waiting for a Mk7 R in red, if you spending 22k+

Gone - Candy White MK5 Golf GTI (you never really forget your first true love...!)
MK7 Candy White GTI pp - you can never have enough eye candy
