mirror dip not working

Hi guys
Just until a coule of months ago i noticed the auto dip when reverseing on my mirror stopped it had done this two years previous and it seamed to solve its selfafter about a two weeks.

Just wondering if any one has had this problem and knows if its a mechanical or a software issue, have had vag com on it but there was no fault showing on there so i presume its mechanical.

Have you had your battery disconnected, or a flat battery?

If so it needs retrained, the user manual explains the procedure.

Hi yes found this in there plus you need to leave it in the left hand mirror position for it to work and if you don't put it back in the middle

I've only had the car for 3 yrs and could never figure out why it worked intermittently. Then I realised I alway like the mirror switch to rest in the 0 position and that why.

Ye love auto dip now that when it's in reverse you can switch it back and two so it move automatically but you can check the curb and the wall or cars
