I've seen this before but only on winter tyres, like mini chunks of tyre have been torn away.

I replaced my front tyres last Monday. Wish I'd have taken some pics.
They were exactly the same as Matt and Rich's  :sad1:

usually when the tread is breaking away like that its from overheating the tyre

What toe are you all running, is it possible there's been a slight scrubbing effect almost twisting the tread off?

I reckon 35PSI is too low for these, I run 37 on mine and I have a much more neutral 50:50 balance.

You've probably enough caster to be able to run parallel with no real tramlining issues.

:scared:
I do hope that prospect turns out to be a step forward if it's confirmed.
Otherwise AD08R may be my next choice...which will be after Goodwood in August.

Gone but not forgotten :-)

Those AD08R have an interesting tread pattern, you had any experience of those @flashp

Seems there's some confusion over PS4 and PSS....

Had a full set of PS4's fitted in February, too early to tell re: wear but performing well over some rather spirited B road miles!

They are not being replaced by the PS4 as they are for another segment of customers, PS4's are for normal driving, PSS are for enthusiastic driving  :happy2:

Over the top mod list ;o)

No 225/40 18 92Y listed on the Michelin site. I know there was a time when only an 88Y was available, so I dunno if the 92 was ever added there or not?

Looking at other forums it appears to be Costco that are telling folk they're discontinued....

Local tyre fitter can't get hold of PSS either - been waiting since November. Took a punt on PS4s instead for the fronts.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
