But to have to strip it all down, sell what is not needed, sell the car buy an R, and start all over again.... :rolleye: Bonkers !
4x4 was on my list of things to do, but it has been marked of the list, til i get really bored...
The diff makes a big difference, just takes awhile to get used to, or grow the gonads to put it to good use :driver: The bushes give the brand new car felling only better
How much more power is needed for FWD cars, take a look at pikeys car he is pushing near 600bhp, :jumping: crazy in my eyes, but it just goes to show what really is possible for FWD GTI's...
How far would you like to go ? :innocent:
Then how far would you push the R?

hit the nail on the head there m8
its been a pleasure to get the car where it is + i aint got the money to start all over again

You seem to have the tyre situ sorted until you try or drive on others it would be hard to put them to the test, I run Goodyear eagle f1 assy 2's or toyos T1R's I think the toyo T1R's have to be one of the best road driving tyres about, the only thing is, they dont last as long as other tyre brads, but we have to give a little to take some back ! :innocent:
When you park your car up, do you still have a wee look back at it ?

I ran a quaiffe LSD when I was running 344 bhp with around 330-350ftlb of torque and it was on its limit I thought that's why I went Haldex as I'm aiming for 500 bhp.
In regards to the hardware and job itself it's not that hard, I'd cut my spare wheel well out, welded a flat plate in installed the gearbox, prop, prop mounts new tank abs unit, yaw module and rear cradle with around 3-4 days here and there. The hardware is the easy part it's the wiring it think but Alex at Aks has done mine and made a great job. When you look at all the big performance cars none of them are fwd and that's for a reason how i see it
