Day 1:

Took my sweet time. Gearbox, shafts and stripped down to crankshaft and mount plate. Just didnt want to drop anything for 6ft up and squash myself!

Up in the air


Out with the manual trans


Had enough for today at this point:


Sneak peek at the DSG box I got from the dealers. (Had to replace the mechatronics hydraulic fluid and gearbox oil as the stupid dealer stored it upside down and with breather vents on so most of the fluids seeped out  :stupid: )

Fairly good days progress this. Keep at it and don't let a stumbling point get you down. If something doesn't work go have a cup of tea and chances are you'll figure it out soon enough. Works on both cars and science/maths essays I've found so far. :drinking:

Looking good, just went throught the whole thread there. Some nice additions from the standard set up. I've recently purchased a mk6 GT TDI 140 and transferred some mods over from the mk5. Ideal for swapping over.

Pretty much run out of mods to do and wanted a DSG. Couldnt be bothered to take out all my mods and put them in a dsg car so thought putting a DSG box in would be easier and a new experience in my bag of skills  :grin:

DAY 2:

Short stint due to it being a Sunday.

ECU removed to be sent off to be flashed with DSG files.

Gaping great hole. Didnt account for the slave cylinder so its just flapping about like a bit of a wally. Wonder if I can just leave it to one side or remove it and put a stop in the pipe?
