Diesel sounding GTI FSI-T Mk5 :(

Also, the air-con was re-gassed (so they said) and its blowing warm..  I'm gutted, really gutted.

Another thing is, on the test drive it had 1/4 of a tank and when I picked it up it was empty.  The average mpg was 4.7..  Someones had a blast.  :driver:

MrACD:
Had to  :signLOL:

I took the car up to my Grandad and said 'Come and listen to this' - Didn't tell him the issue, wanted to see what he thought.

He listened - 'Yeah that sounds ok to me Alan, all diesels sound like that' HAHA...

When I told him it was the Petrol, he agrees it's not right  :rolleye:

It could well be the cam chain and tensioner. What are you plans? Are you going to try and get your money back or just fix the problem?

Well they can fix it or I'll ask for my money back.  It does have 6 months gold warranty so either way I should be ok, I hope.

Your best bet would be to find someone nearby on the forum that has a GTI.

Audio files won't do justice. If I got in for example and listened I could tell if it didn't sound right! There's plenty of helpful people so I'd ask!
