Thanks chaps. With the CKs im hoping im totally happy with the look of it. Might need to adjust the coilovers to suit but will see.

I dont think theres much point spending all that money to upgrade the K04, if it makes 360bhp+ which they can i will be happy, theyre quick cars at that power and i will be happy there. :)

Enjoyed reading your thread and noticed you've done the tensioner mod but If your engine code is the CCZB I would be looking at changing this 27 item
http://www.partscats.info/volkswagen/en/?i=cat_vag_models&brand=vw&number=1714&set=1735&ein=2010&f=649&hauptgr=1234567890&hg=1
This is a bit extra info
http://www.autoserviceprofessional.com/article/93400/noisy-audi-chain

It's becoming a common problem and an expensive repair when it fails. However, a  simple enough job if caught early but a real chew if the gauze breaks free giving G40 fault code and a nasty knocking at 2000rpm.

I have suffered the indignity of this failure and the bill attached to it

My car is about 1 year newer than the effected engines but i'll make sure i double check to be sure. As per tensioner, id rather spend £100 now than risk £1000+ later!

Michael, so youve been bitten by both? Sure you said you had a failed tensioner too!?

If you still have a rattle after the tensioner job has been done when cold get the bridge bearing replaced or you'll end up with a new cylinder head and cams!

Today i got the K04 compressor housing back with the new outlet welded to a great standard thanks to Scott at Magma Fabrications! He also made me a wee blank plate for the PCV outlet i wont use on the compressor housing.

Built it back up so its ready to fit.

Heres a before and after, mod required to fit K04 to TSI !

Eventually got a set !!

19x8" BBS CK ET44 with 225/35R19 tyres. Only done 500miles too!

Swapped the Falkens for my Eagle F1s and got them straight on!

Looks totally different, take a bit getting used to silver instead of dark!
