Watched it earlier on Sky. I think Ferrari are screwed - I can see Vettel winning the Championship tomorrow

I really think they need to get more creative with the camera angles for this circuit - they really haven't managed to convey how radical the undulations in the circuit are.

Won't be watching it now. Ferrari cheating.  :fighting2: :fighting:  Almost as bad as the premiership, Gonzo needs his team to bend the rules.

I can't believe that, surely the team should be punished or both drivers demoted or something, team orders is one thing, deliberately altering the car to get a penalty is just wrong and Ferrari should be made an example of. Not that the FIA will ever do that.

For that I hope Vettel wins now, as much as I would have preferred alonso to win the title I don't think with this type of behaviour he deserve to

Cheating would assume they were breaking the rules. Ferrari described the gearbox change as a "tactical penalty", so they're hardly trying to hide their intentions - and why should they?

Do you really think that if Webber was winning the GP tonight and letting Vettel pass would hand him the title that they'd display saintly morals and not enforce the pass?

But it's not against the rules... you can't penalise, or even criticise a team for playing within the rules.

Criticise the rules by all means.

True but if a team done it due to a failure or possible failure in the race then fair enough but a team doing something like this and admitting they have done it on purpose to promote a team mate should not be allowed and should in someway be punishable

It just annoys me when teams exploit rules especially in ways like this. I feel sorry for Massa in all of this tbh

I'd feel sorry for Massa if he didn't understand his role as a number 2 driver for Ferrari! I'm guessing he does

I know what your saying but theres other ways around it. Lets be honest Massa would've been under team orders to let Alonso pass before the 1st corner which for being no2 is fair enough but to have him dropped 5places is a different matter

It is what it is. All the teams would do the same given the same situation. If its not against the rules then they will, can and have exploited it. I don't feel sorry for Massa, he's a No.2 and he knows his place, might not be fair or right but that's F1 today.

BTW, Come on Lewis!!  :popcornsoda:

It was more about the side of the track than the grid place. The right hand side was a massive advantage.
