I didnt do it. AKS did it. I didnt fancy this diy, even alex says its a ball ache. Id say you need to set aside a whole day if youve not done it before.

No RFD kit, I couldnt get one in time and REVO map doesnt really support the flaps being removed.

I'd imagine you'll see a smoother power delivery after cleaning the inlet valves out and perhaps a slight increase in economy. Looks like one of those easy gains jobs... I say easy... :signLOL:

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

Easy when your watching someone else struggle  :signLOL:

Economy? We will see, if I my long term average goes up from 22mpg to 25mpg I'll be happy  :driver:

22mpg? I don't think you drive it as reserved as we like to jest about if you're hitting that economy. I can hit about 28-30mpg so far in my Golf R and that has a lot more weight than your ED30! Looks like your brakes were a sensible upgrade after all... :happy2:

A R32 doesn't drive as fast as his Ed. 30 stage 2.  :driver:

Has your car been running since last night when you made that post to get your MPG down?   :booty:

Yeah agree about the R32-GTI thing, obviously its opinion but I have a 293bhp de-cat mk5 R32 in the house so have gone back to back between that and mine a few times and as nice as the noise is even my low on power stage 1 K03 GTI was more fun to drive. Once its back with the hybrid turbo on though there will be no competition

Good man, that's about what mine is so requires being used properly. How much did Alex charge for the cleaning if you don't mind me asking?

To early to jump to a conclusion.... will be running it every day this week so will see how it feels. It seems "happier" though.
