Alright, update time.

I'#039ve replaced my FPRV but the issue still persists. However, I revisited an old 2008 thread and realized my memory was slightly off. I was under the impression that you only needed the upgraded pump for 130bar or more pressure and only above 5k rpm. Turns out, you need it for 110bar and anywhere from 3.5k to 5k rpm as the stock pump cant move the

Hello everyone!

This in my first post on this platform. I'#039m a proud owner of a golf mk5 gti USA spec, 2006 model.

Yesterday I went for a 100 km ride, and by half way (50 km) I noticed that the fuel gauge was half, out of nowhere. However the fuel consumption on the display, was the normal one, 8.5-9L / 100 km.
Usually on my gti, the fuel gauge does not m

Hi Carl,

Thanks so much for all the relevant info and files. I have tried all the versions you gave links to, although some are downloaded in .RAR and can'#039t convert to ISO? Having said this, when trying to perform an update (As my RNS510 is stuck in boot loop) I get the attached/pictured error. - Software Loading Error (010306) Any advice on a fix or is it that the hard

Are you running a lot of power? A big mistake people make when upping the power is forgetting to upgrade the brakes, if you'#039re going faster you'#039ll need to be able to stop faster too.

The R32 brake upgrade is the go-to.

Some small handling mods like anti-roll bars and anti-lift kits are useful if you'#039re doing track days.

Ha! I drove that car when I used to write for Evo back in the Noughties. My Mk5, a Shadow Blue one, also had a cam follower/eaten cam lobes problem when I bought it last September but I decided to dive in and replace the inlet camshaft. I had never worked on an EA113 engine before, but it all went surprisingly well and the car is as great to drive as I remember yours being back in

GKN-Lobro are OE, so would be a good choice.

I got a pair of new shafts from VW for a reasonable price on exchange basis. Think it was £500 for the pair. They were supposed to be refurbished but turned out to be brand new!

62, wow, good on you nbsp :drinking:

Good info nbsp :happy2: nbsp Its great to see people take a scientific and detailed approach to these things rather than slapping any old intake on and calling it done.

Even 5% drift caused drivability issues on my Edition 30. nbsp Doesn'#039t sound a lot but it'#039s still a large error the ECU has to work around when calculating fuel trims

Re: What shall I do? New turbo, 2nd hand turbo or reconditioned turbo?
Last Poster: pudding in Mk5 General Area on May 24, 2024, 08:32:10 pm
Refurbished stuff is never as good as brand new, or in the case of TTE, completely reworked with a brand new OEM turbo as a starting point.

Same applies to the injectors. Just replace them with new ones. DI injectors don't refurbish well.

Where are you based? Most pro upholsterers can match factory cloth/leather.

You can still get the seat covers and foam bolsters etc from VW, but the cost is insane.

I found how, it turned out that I need a 30 byte CECM so I fitted the following one : 3C0 937 049 AJ .
But to enable this function it requires a Security access. Found  the code for the 09 Centr. Electric channel which should be 31347 , but to no avail. Once entered VCDS returns invalid key.

Is the code wrong for this module, or I'm missing something.
Thanks

I just spliced in some wire to extend each broken wire, as there is not a lot of slack from factory and the primary cause.

I did mine last year. It was high level brake light that failed on mine. Not to bad to diy just replace one wire at a time.

I'#039ve had a Pioneer A3300DAB in my previous car (2009 Jetta). My unit switched off completely when I'#039ve removed the key from ignition and there was no way to use it without either having the car running or the key in ignition. I think this will be the same way.

Cheap aftermarket units can cause battery drain but even those come with a plug you can pull that makes it shu

I don'#039t remember for sure but the easiest way to go about it is to remove the door interior panel.

There'#039s 3xT20 or T25 screws at the bottom of the panel, 1xT25 screw next to the mirror and 2xT30 screws under the door handle. You pry the handle upwards just make sure you pry evenly or

Afternoon all,

I'#039m after a bit of help diagnosing an issue. I recently got the P0171 Fuel Trim System Lean code. Cleared it and in a few days it'#039s not returned. My question is could this be related to the P0401 code I get intermittently? The P0441 code throws up every few months, since I got the nbsp car (around a year and a half ago). Edition 30 Rear Valance -Pearl Black (Genuine Part)
£80.00
Location: Manchester
Collection Only

For Sale is my old Pearl Black Edition 30 rear valance. This clips into the upper section of your rear bumper.
This was removed from my golf due someone backing into me at low speed causing surface cracks. (they offered to pay for a new valance)

The surface cracks are around the the number plate area which I've tried to photo the best i can.

The exhaust surround has been bonded back on by the body shop after an encounter with a high kerb a few years ago.

There are storage scratches on the paintwork so will need respraying. You will also need a towing eye cover.

All clips to clip the valance upper bumper section are intact and there is no sign of warping.

This is a genuine valance and was fitted to my ED30 from the factory.

Location: West London
Collection Only

Hi all,

For sale is my 2008 Volkswagen Golf GTi Edition 30 (DSG). I am the 2nd owner from new and have owned the car since November 2021. The car was near enough stock when I purchased it and I have upgraded it in my ownership.

- RNS510.
- Folding mirrors (heated).
- Rear parking sensors.

In my ownership I have had the following maintenence completed:

- Serviced 3 times (2 full services, one oil and filter change).
- Cambelt and waterpump.

- AP coilovers (top mounts replaced all around at the same time), fitted December 2023.
- All rear control arms replaced (December 2023).
- Geo By Luke fast road alignment (December 2023).
- Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres all around.

I've just spent circa £2.5k on the suspension components refresh.

I have spared no expense on ensuring the car is mechanically sound.

Being honest, the car could do with the wheels being refurbished. There is general wear and tear on the car which is expected for the age, the car is approaching 16 years old. There are some minor dents and scratches. The front end does have some stone chips. The inner sills have some slight blistering to the paint. The MFSW buttons work intermittently but I have bought the new control module but haven't had this fitted yet. The cruise control is also intermittent and I have purchased a new stalk, but haven't fitted this yet. Parts will be included in the sale, or if I have time, I will get them installed before sale.. Front and rear dash cams & pioneer double din are not included in the sale.

If you are looking for a well sorted car which mechanically has been looked after well, this is a good car to purchase.

I am in no rush to sell, only considering selling to upgrading. No part exchanges please.

The pictures are prior to the installation of the coilovers, I will upload new pictures once I have detailed the car.

I'm looking for £11,495.00, I paid just under this when I bought the car stock.

Please let me know if you have any queries.

Kind regards,

Sharif
2 x Mk5 Gtis being broken, West Midlands
£0.00
Location: Walsall, West Midlands
Postage: £0.00
Delivery or Collection

I have, in annoying and frustrating circumstances, ended up with 2 Black Gtis that are both dead on my drive, both for engine reasons, so I couldnt even get away with making a good one out of the two, and have had to replace them both with an R32!

I will start pulling them apart and will list stuff separately as I have the chance, however, due to lots of stuff that is going on at the minute, that may take me ages, so I thought a general post about both being broken may be helpful for anyone who is after specific bits etc.

One is an 05 5 door, block and head are totally scrap.  Was in daily use until a couple of months back when the engine lunched itself.  Pretty much all standard.  Of note off the top of my head has:

- Heated Leathers in decent condition
- Standard Grey Leather Gti Steering wheel
- 17" Monzas with decent Tyres
-  Midline Clocks
- Generally things are pretty tidy, so anyone who needs standard bits like engine cover, trim, light covers etc etc etc, they might be of use to you.

One is an 06 3 door, with a few more tasty bits and pieces on, but that has been sat for longer.  Again, engine itself is lunched.  Again, from the top of my head there is:

- Heated Cloth interior in not bad condition
- Black MFSW
- Cat Back Stainless, although the cat itself was getting borderline on MOT passes, so maybe just the backbox of use
- 18" Monzas
- Neuspeed Intake
- Twintercooler Setup
- Reversing sensor setup rear bumper etc
- Highline clocks

There will be other decent bits on both - As I say, I am working a bit off memory at the minute.

I just need the cars gone, so once I get started, really I just need it all out the way, so not especially bothered about getting top dollar for bits, I just need the space back, but know that the bits on them both are too good to let go for scrap.

I am based just outside Walsall in the West Midlands, but work in Cardiff, so go there most weeks, and am happy to take stuff there (or meet people in between).

Shout if any questions, and as I actually get stuff off I will get pictures up, but if people want me to get pictures of anything specific, let me know and I can do.  I am actually listing this right now when I am away from home with work for a few days, as thats the only way I actually get time to, but feel free to send me questions etc and Ill answer best I can, then send pics when I get back.

I dont love posting car bits out - There is too much room for stuff to get damaged, go missing etc  - I would much rather collections, or meet you somewhere etc in an ideal world, but it can possibly be arranged on some stuff.
